Seeking to follow-up on the success of earlier two editions, the popular show Meelo Evaru Koteeshwardu (MEK) on Maa TV is all set to return for a third season next month. Hosted by star quiz master Akkineni Nagarjuna, the process of putting together the third edition has almost been completed and the channel has also narrowed down the selection of contestants. For the MEK call for entry questions, the channel received around 15.50 lakh entries and after a thorough scrutiny, 2,700 persons were called in for audition.

Few innovative ideas for the new season are being toyed with by the channel and the production team.

These include Jodi specials where couples could be invited and celebrity specials.

Viewers’ choice

finds place

For this year’s talent recognition from its own programming, Zee Telugu has invited viewers to sit down and contribute in the selection process.

The channel, each year, presents Zee Kutumbam Awards and this year, it has come up with a new format where viewers are invited to interact with the jury comprising Geethanjali, Parchuri Venkateswara Rao, Giri Babu and Relangi Narasimha Rao, and also participate in the selection of talent.

After announcing its new plan, hundreds of enthusiastic viewers responded seeking to be part of the jury.

Narrowing down the choice to five, Zee Telugu recently had the viewers’ jury sitting with the panel jury.
