People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Abdul Nasser Maudany, who was being treated at a private hospital in the city, on Monday left for Thiruvananthapuram to meet his ailing mother.

Mr. Maudany who is out on conditional bail presently, had sought the permission from the Supreme Court to visit his ailing mother in his home State.

The High Court of Karnataka, while granting him bail in July 2014 on medical grounds, had laid down a condition that he would not leave the city and keep the city police informed of his whereabouts. The Supreme Court on Friday had allowed a petition filed by Mr. Maudany to visit his ailing mother for five days.
