Mahajana Socialist Party (MSP) leader Manda Krishna Madiga said he would be contesting for the Assembly seat from Wardhannapet constituency in Warangal.

The MSP plans to contest 30 Assembly and four to six Parliamentary seats in the general elections.

“We will contest 10 to 12 Assembly and two to three Parliament seats in Telangana region, and the rest in Seemandhra region,” he said, speaking to newsmen here on Thursday.

The district level committee of all districts will meet on Friday to identify prospective seats and candidates. On March 30, the party will announce the final list.

“Since the party was founded just three months ago, we are focusing on strengthening the party base at the grassroots level,” Mr. Krishna Madiga said.
