Man picked up for role in red sanders smuggling case

A resident of Rawalkole village near Medchal on the outskirts of the city was reportedly picked up by the Nellore police for his alleged involvement in a red sanders smuggling case.

G. Madhava Reddy along with his son, was detained by a special police party from Nellore. He approached the Medchal police, alleging that some persons posing as policemen had robbed him and his wife of gold chains. Meanwhile, a team of Kadapa police lodged a complaint stating that Reddy had escaped after attacking them.
