A 40-year-old man Hussain Basha allegedly killed his two sons Mabu Hussain, 9 and Sadak Vali, 7, by slitting their necks with a knife in Chagalamarri in Kurnool district on Wednesday.
Hussain Basha, an alcohol addict, accused in several petty theft cases, allegedly harassed his wife Khaja Bi and she left for her parents’ house at Proddatur in Kadapa district along with her two sons a few days ago. Basha went to his in-laws’ house and brought his two sons to Chagalamarri a few days ago. He telephoned his wife on Wedesday morning and threatened to kill the children if she did not return home, but she refused, police said. Enraged by this, Basha took his two sons to a stream at Settiveedu bus stop, killed them on Wednesday afternoon and fled.
