Lokesh to lead team for Davos tomorrow

He will be showcasing opportunities in State at the WEF meeting

A delegation led by Minister for Panchayat Raj and Information Technology N. Lokesh is leaving for Davos (Switzerland) from Hyderabad on Monday to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting beginning January 22.

The objective of the visit is to showcase the investment opportunities in the Sunrise State.

Mr. Lokesh will hold deliberations with the who’s who of the business world, and invite prospective entrepreneurs to make investments in A.P.

He is scheduled to meet senior executives of ArcelorMittal, Pegasystems, Procter and Gamble, Nestle, AT&T and Invesco, among others.

Mr. Lokesh will give a presentation on the advantages the State has and focus on its No. 1 ranking in the Ease-Of-Doing Business.

On his birthday on January 23, Mr. Lokesh will deliver a keynote address on ‘Agile governance’, ‘Digital governance’ and ‘India-4.0’; and on ‘Sustainable manufacturing’ and Internet of Things the following day.

The delegation comprises Special Chief Secretary (health, medical and family welfare) P. Malakondaiah, Principal Secretary (energy, infrastructure and investment and CRDA) Ajay Jain, advisor (agriculture) T. Vijaya Kumar, Economic Development Board CEO J. Krishna Kishore, Principal Secretary (industries and commerce) Solomon Arokia Raj, A.P. Industrial Infrastructure Corporation MD Babu A., Secretary (information and public relations) B. Ramanjaneyulu and advisor (health) Jitendra Sarma.

Mr. Lokesh is leading the team in the place of his father and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. An official release said Mr. Naidu had to delegate the responsibility to the IT Minister due to his busy schedule.
