Lawyers stayed away from the courts in West Godavari district on Tuesday seeking action against the TDP MLA Bandaru Madhava Naidu for his alleged highhanded behaviour with a judicial officer of the rank of Additional District Judge on the Independence Day in Narsapur. The boycott call affected the functioning of courts all over the district. Lawyers in Narsapur staged a demonstration at the Revenue Divisional Office demanding stern action against the MLA. Later, they went to the office of the Narsapur Municipal Commissioner with a request to execute the directions of the Additional District Judge for removal of encroachments.
