Judge, Supreme Court of India, Lavu Nageswara Rao.-T. Vijaya Kumar

Former Additional Solicitor-General, Lavu Nageswara Rao, has been appointed as Judge, Supreme Court of India.

A native of Pedanandipadu village, he was born on June 8, 1957. Mr. Rao Rao had studied in Loyola Public School, JKC, TJPS colleges and later completed his BL from AC College of Law in Guntur.

Mr. Nageswara Rao began practising as an advocate in Guntur in 1982 before moving to High Court.

After the initial tutelage under senior High Court advocate Y. Suryanarayana, Mr. Rao moved to Supreme Court in 1995.

He served two terms as Additional Solicitor General before resigning in 2014.
