Kolagatla seeks to wrest Vizianagaram from TDP

YSRCP MLC Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy filed his nomination papers seeking election from the Vizianagaram Assembly constituency on Wednesday.

After offering prayers at the Saibaba temple, Mr. Veerabhadra Swamy submitted his nomination papers to Returning Officer and Joint Collector K. Venkata Ramana Reddy.

Mr. Veerabhadra Swamy, who had been contesting the Assembly elections since 1989, emerged victorious in 2004 as an Independent. Later, he joined the Congress and become an MLC in 2013. Later, he joined the YSRCP and become MLC again.

Former Minister Botcha Satyanarayana’s loyalists and family members extended their support to Mr. Veerabhadra Swamy and participated in a rally.

According to sources, party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is said to have directed all the leaders to shun their differences and work for the victory of the party.
