Kiran for speeding up new power projects

A total of 3,745 MW power is expected to be added to the State grid by April next year

The commissioning of ongoing power projects scheduled for April next year should be expedited to December this year, said Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy here on Tuesday.

A total of 3,745 MW power is expected to be added to the State grid by April next year when the ongoing projects are commissioned by AP Genco.

Meeting to review power supply

Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, who held a meeting to review the power supply situation with energy department officials, expressed his satisfaction over the generation and supply of power.

But if work on new projects can be sped up, the power supply position will be comfortable by next summer, he said.
