The fourth edition of the Jurassic series is going strong not only globally, but also in the local centres. In fact, the Telugu version of Jurassic World has done more business than any of the Hollywood dubbed movies in the recent past.
The Telugu version of the movie, in its third week, has already grossed around Rs. 8 crore.
According to KFC Entertainment, which has released the movie in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the figures will cross Rs. 10 crore.
The movie was released in more than 200 theatres in both the States in the first week. Even in the third week, the movie continues to be screened in about 180 theatres.
Director Gopichand writing a script for NTR
He is just four films old as a director, but each of them carries his distinct mark. And considering his record, this increases expectations from the industry, says Gopichand Malineni, who wielded the megaphone for four films, including the recent Pandaga Chesuko with Ram and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead.
Working with actor Ravi Teja in Don Seenu and Balupu and Venkatesh in Bodyguard has given him the flexibility and maturity required to fashion scripts with the lead star in mind.
What’s he doing now? “I am busy for the next three months, penning a script for a film with N.T. Rama Rao in the lead,” he says, obviously unwilling to reveal more about how his fifth offering is going to be. It will be produced by ‘Dil’ Raju. Apart from the names of the producer, director and the lead star, nothing else has been revealed so far.
To a question as to who will star opposite the hero, the answer was “We have not confirmed yet.” Interestingly, names of the female lead doing the rounds include Anjali and Rakul Preet Singh.
Going by his hit rate so far, one can surely expect another commercial entertainer.
