A junior doctor Shilpa (28), pursuing PG in paediatrics at Sri Venkateswara Medical College at Tirupati, was allegedly found hanging to the ceiling fan in her flat at Piler town, 60 km from here, on Tuesday.

According to information, Dr. Shilpa, who was married to Rupesh Kumar five years ago, had been living in Piler for some time, travelling daily to Tirupati to attend her duties. In April this year, she complained about alleged sexual harassment by the teaching faculty to the Vice-Chancellor of NTR Health University, IT Minister Nara Lokesh and district administration.

In this backdrop, Dr. Shilpa could not get through the PG examination, the results of which were announced on Monday. Her relatives alleged that Dr. Shilpa had committed suicide unable to bear the harassment of the teaching faculty.
