The Jai Samaikyandhra Party Nellore district unit is preparing itself for proving its strength in the Nellore City Assembly constituency with one of the Anam family members taking active part in its activities here.

Anam Jayakumar Reddy, who has differed with his brothers Anam Vivekananda Reddy and Ramanarayana Reddy, has long been dissociated from the Congress activities. In the Samaikyandhra agitation, he actively participated along with his supporters.

Now Jayakumar Reddy is entering the election fray from Nellore City segment on the Jai Samaikyandhra Party ticket.

Under his leadership, the party activists led a rally in the Trunk Road here in their preparations for the assembly elections. While the mainstream parties are busy with the forthcoming municipal election counting, the Jai Samaikyandhra Party leaders are organising meetings and rallies for the Assembly polls.

Speaking on the occasion, Jayakumar Reddy said former Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy did not care for his position for the cause of united State.

Criticising rival parties, Jayakumar Reddy called upon the people not to vote for those who worked against the interests of the Samaikyandhra agitation. He expressed confidence that he would get considerable support from the people as they were totally unhappy over the bifurcation issue.

The Congress has not yet announced any candidate for Nellore City while Anam Vivekananda Reddy’s followers say that he might contest from here this time. The TDP is considering the names of its city president Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy and former MLA Mungamuru Sridhar Krishna Reddy.

The YSR Congress constituency coordinator P. Anil Kumar Yadav is preparing to take on the party’s rival candidates in this election.
