YSR Congress president Y.S Jaganmohan Reddy will launch 48-hour ‘Samara Deeksh’ at `Y,’ junction beside the national highway in Mangalagiri on Wednesday. Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy is expected to launch a major offensive against the TDP government as it is gearing up to celebrate one year in power.
“Mr. Jagan is expected to launch severe criticism on the failures of TDP government, its failure to implement poll promises, including loan waiver, anti-farmer policies and the corrupt practices of its Ministers and MLAs,’’ said Ambati Ramababu, party senior leader and spokesperson.
Mr. Jagan is also expected to launch a broad side against the government for acquiring multi-cropped lands for building a world class capital. Mr. Reddy has already visited the river front villages of Undavalli, Penumaka in January and expressed his support to farmers and farm workers.
The ‘Samara Deeksha,’ originally slated for a day, has been extended to another day after Mr. Jaganinsisted that it would take two days for him to explain the failures of the TDP government.
Party sources said the issue relating to TDP MLA Revanth Reddy arrest in note for vote scam would also figure in the YSRC chief’s speech.
YSRC general secretary Vijay Sai Reddy, deputy floor leader Jyothula Nehru and MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy have been overseeing the arrangements at the venue for the last three days.
An overcast sky and rain on Monday kept the party supporters on edge but the leaders expect that the crowds to turn up in large numbers.
