‘Jagan, Pawan have a secret pact with BJP’

Minister accuses them of obstructing development in State

Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Tuesday accused Leader of the Opposition Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan of forging a secret alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party and obstructing the development of the State.

“Even as the Centre is not releasing funds for development works in the State, these two leaders are silent. They are not uttering a single word against the Centre, but are targeting Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu time and again,” he said while speaking to the media at Amalapuram.

Wondering why Mr. Jagan and Mr. Pawan were not extending their support to the State government to ensure overall development of the State, he said it was unfortunate that both the leaders were giving priority to gaining political mileage rather than protecting the interests of the State.

“Even as the Centre is not releasing the funds, the State government has been implementing several welfare activities. Instead of fighting with the Centre to get the dues, these two leaders are resorting to implementing the secret agenda of the Centre in the State,” he alleged.

Referring to the case of attack on Mr. Jagan, Mr. Ramakrishnudu said there was no point in Y.S. Vijayalakshmi’s claim on security cover to the Opposition leader, as the government never failed in extending security. “Mr. Jagan has no respect towards the law and he has not even lodged a complaint with the police so far. Still, the investigation into the case is going on,” he said.

Alleging Mr. Jagan had a criminal background, he said there was no logic behind Ms. Vijayalakshmi’s demand for improving security cover to her son.
