Continuing its tirade against Opposition leader Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, the Telugu Desam Party has alleged that by joining hands with the Telangana Rashtra Samiti, Mr. Reddy proved that political gains matter to him rather than the interests of the State and its people.
Minister Ravela Kishore Babu criticised Mr. Reddy for mortgaging the interests of Andhra Pradesh by joining with TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao who is trying to create obstacles in the development of the State. “Mr. Reddy joining hands with the TRS exposed the levels to which he can stoop for his political interests,” he said.
He alleged that Independent MLA Elvis Stephenson was given the post on Mr. Reddy’s recommendation and subsequently, the YSRC president and Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao conspired to use him as a pawn in Telangana TDP MLA A. Revanth Reddy’s issue. Mr. Reddy owes an explanation to the people on the relations he has with Mr. Rao, he said.
Mr. Kishore Babu criticised Mr. Reddy for not raising the issues confronting Andhra Pradesh, including the controversy over the relieving orders issued to over 1,200 power sector employees by the Telangana Government, and the way TRS Government had violated provisions under Section 8 of the Reorganisation Act.
Mr. Reddy and Mr. Rao had intensified efforts to stall investments assured in Andhra Pradesh by multinational companies and the TDP will soon expose the nexus between the two leaders, he said.
