Jagan, Gali appear in court in separate cases

YSRC president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, former Ministers Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, Dharmana Prasada Rao and P. Sabitha Indra Reddy, several industrialists and IAS officers appeared in the Principal Special Court for CBI Cases here on Thursday.

IAS officers M. Samuel, Manmohan Singh and Aditya Nath Das, retired bureaucrat B. Krupanandam were among several other accused in the 11 cases of qui-pro-quo investments who appeared in the court and marked their attendance before Judge N. Balayogi. Mr. Jagan’s relative and YSRC MP Y.V. Subba Reddy was present as he was also accused in one of the cases.

The judge adjourned further proceedings in the first two cases to February 4 while the remaining nine cases to March 6.

In the illegal mining case against Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC), mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy, his brother-in-law B.V. Srinivasa Reddy, who is also the Managing Director of OMC, former Director of Mines (Andhra Pradesh) V.D. Rajagopal and a few others also appeared in the court to mark their attendance.

The judge adjourned further proceedings in the case to February 19.
