Insurance employees press for pay revision

October 30, 2017 12:35 am | Updated 12:35 am IST - KURNOOL

Insurance Corporation Employees Union Zonal president K. Venugopala Rao on Sunday demanded pay revision for LIC employees, stoppage of moves to weaken the insurance sector and labour acts.

Addressing the union’s 25th annual conference at Indira Bhavan in Kadapa, Mr. Rao said the Central government introduced a public offer and was planning disinvestment in the four general insurance companies and to weaken LIC.

Accusing the Central government of being averse towards the public sector undertakings, Mr. Venugopala Rao called upon the employees to attend the ‘Mahapadhav’ programme to be organised in Delhi in November.
