Jana Sena Party (JSP) founder and actor Pawan Kalyan has made it clear that he is not aspiring to become the next Chief Minister.
He was addressing a meeting at the Three Horse junction, where the DCI employees were on relay hunger strike, on Wednesday.
When he sought to know from the gathering the purpose of formation of the JSP, some of his fans responded saying “CM… CM.” Mr. Pawan Kalyan pulled them up saying they were under a wrong notion.
“We are for solving people’s problems and our party is committed to taking up issues concerning them. Whosoever does a blunder and deviates from public interest, we have to grill them,” he said.
“Had I wanted, I could have contested to become MP either from Visakhapatnam or Anakapalle on the Praja Rajyam Party ticket in 2009. I was never interested in occupying posts,” he said.
“I did not approach the authorities seeking favour when Sardaar Gabbar Singh , a film I produced, faced some problems at the Censure Board,” he added.
