Hyderabad student shot dead in US

A resident of Kushaiguda, he was pursuing MS programme

A 22-year-old student from Hyderabad pursuing MS programme in United States of America was shot dead by few unidentified persons in Miami of Florida on Sunday.

A. Sai Kiran, a resident of Kushaiguda, was standing near his apartment building when some persons shot him dead after he reportedly resisted their attempts to snatch his iphone, Srihari Goud, the victim’s father told presspersons.

“As it was a weekend, Kiran along with a few of his friends went for an outing. While returning to the apartment he stopped over to answer a phone call. The unidentified persons threatened him to handover his iphone and money and when he resisted they shot him dead,” Mr. Srihari told reporters quoting his son’s friends. Kiran joined the MS programme at Atlantis University this year and was staying along with 10 other friends in an apartment. He left for the US in the first week of May along with a few of his friends. He completed his B. Tech from an engineering college in Keesara.
