The harvested organs of a 29-year-old man, who was declared brain dead, were brought to Government General Hospital from Manipal Hospitals in Tadepalli in a green corridor on Friday afternoon.

Pingali Jagadish met with a fatal road accident at Kanchikacharla on Wednesday. He was admitted to Manipal Hospitals in a critical condition. After the doctors expressed their opinion to parents, the latter came forward to donate his organs.

Jagadish was working in Reliance Jio company at Kanchikacharla and was heading towards Nandigama when he was knocked down by a car.

On Friday morning, a green corridor was set up by Guntur Urban Police to shift the harvested organs to GGH, Guntur, in an ambulance. His heart was set to be transplanted in a patient later in the day.

Superintendent, Government General Hospital, D.S. Raju Naidu was present.
