Noted scholar Chaganti Koteswara Rao has underscored the relevance of Gurukulams in the modern education system.

Speaking at Guru Bodhana organised jointly by the Aditya Institute of Technology and Management, Tekkali, and the Indian Society for Technical Education on Wednesday, he said clarity in thought, stability of mind, discipline, respect towards parents and elders were necessary for students. These were the virtues taught in the Gurukulams of the past.

He said that Lord Rama was an ideal student and he could learn many things at a young age from Guru Vasistha. ‘Students can reach their goals when they follow ethics and rules and regulations of the institution. They must study our epics which can make them good citizens and help in bringing laurels to the institution as well as family,” said Brahmasri Koteswara Rao.

“The youngsters can increase their mind power and immunity only with proper food habits. Eating fruits regularly would make them healthier and enhance their intellectual capabilities,” he added.
