Gurajada centenary fete planned in November

October 07, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:52 am IST - SRIKAKULAM:

Sahiti Sravani, which represents many writers and poets, will organise centenary celebrations of Mahakavi Gurajada Apparao in Srikakulam in November, according to its founder president Chintada Ramarao.

The organisation held a preparatory meeting in NGO Home on Tuesday and discussed his contribution to the society. Organisers felt that centenary celebrations would help youngsters know about Gurajada and his magnum opus ‘Kanyasulkam.’ They decided to invite authors of all the districts of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for the celebrations.
