The State government accorded administrative clearance for ₹2,000 crore on Monday for the implementation of the ‘Annadata Sukhibhava’ scheme.

It is in pursuance of the order clearing financial assistance of ₹9,000 per year to farmers covered under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PMKSN) scheme in addition to ₹6,000 provided by the Central government (aggregating ₹15,000) and ₹10,000 for excluded farmer families.

The State government sought to disburse immediate assistance of ₹4,000 by March 2019. The definition of farmers is as per the PMKSN guidelines. Tenant farmer families would be extended ₹15,000 per year and the first disbursements for them would be made during the kharif-2019.

The PMKSN was announced in the Union Budget - 2019-20.
