‘Gear up for Brahmotsavams’

TTD JEO says a trial-run of Surya Prabha Vahanam and Garuda Seva will be organised on August 7 and 29 respectively

June 25, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:50 am IST - TIRUMALA:

With the annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara round the corner, TTD Joint Executive Officer K.S. Srinivasa Raju instructed the heads of various departments to come with up an action plan for making the mega event a grand success.

Even though the temple is scheduled to witness two Brahmotsavams during the calendar year, Mr. Raju felt that the Navarathri Brahmotsavams succeeding the Salakatla Brahmotsavams would be attracting huge crowds as it coincides with the Dasara holidays. At a high-level meeting with senior officers at the TTD’s Annamaiah Bhavan here on Wednesday, Mr. Raju directed the heads of temple, health, vigilance and Panchayat Raj, medical and engineering departments to list out their priorities and come with a road map.

JEO Srinivasa Raju says the TTD is planning to organise a trial-run of Surya Prabha Vahanam and Garuda Seva on August 7 and 29 respectively
