Gang-rape: four booked in Mahabubnagar

A 38-year-old woman was gang-raped allegedly by four persons, including a police constable, and a home guard, in the wee hours of Thursday at Kothakota mandal headquarters bus stand on National Highway 44 . According to reports, the incident occurred when the woman was returning to her village in Addakal mandal. As it was midnight there was no bus to her village and she slept in the bus stand. On noticing that the woman was alone, the four took her to the nearby two-wheeler parking lot and allegedly raped her.

The woman lodged a complaint with the Kothakota police after informing the villagers about the incident.

Superintendent of police D. Nagender Kumar, who rushed to Kothakota, told media persons that a case was registered under the Nirbhaya Act. All the accused Srinivasulu ,Nagendram, Ramesh and Rakesh were taken into custody.
