Gang dealing in ancient coins busted

A 7-member gang was arrested and recovered Rs. 2lakh cash and two pieces of ancient coins which are dated back to 1818 A.D. from it under Elwinpeta police station limits in G.L. Puram mandal on Wednesday.

According to Sub-Inspector B. Ravindra Raju, police nabbed them on suspicion on Tuesday evening at Gunadala village in G.L. Puram mandal. The gang has been cheating gullible people promising them high value for ancient coins. Members of the gang are from Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam districts, he added.
