Former DEO gets 3-year RI in DA case

Sripathi Dharma Raju, the then District Education Officer (DEO), Srikakulam, has been sentenced to three years rigorous imprisonment by the special court for ACB cases, Vizag, for accumulating assets disproportionate to his known sources of income on Monday.

A fine of ₹1 lakh was imposed on him. The ACB officials said that Sripathi Dharma Raju was arrested for amassing the illegal assets worth lakhs of rupees in December 2005. Subsequently, charge sheet was filed by ACB against the accused officer in 2006.
