Boat owner dies in the sea

The fishermen from Kottapatnam hamlet near Uppada Kothapalli who ventured into the sea for fishing on Wednesday last came in contact with their family members on Thursday.

According to the family members, the boat reached the shore near Paradip on Thursday morning and six fishermen were returning home safely. Boat owner Patta Surya Rao (55) died on the boat due to illness and arrangements were being made to shift the body to Kottapatnam.

However, whereabouts of another boat with six fishermen from Polavaram hamlet near Nemam in Kakinada Rural mandal were yet to be known.
