‘First phase of capital in 3 years’

January 12, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 06:05 am IST - TIRUPATI:

The first phase of construction works for the new capital would be completed in three years, maintained State Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana.

Inspecting the arrangements at Shilparamam, which was being decked up for visit of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during Sankranti here on Sunday, he said more than 3,500 acres had been procured from farmers (till date).

Flaying the statements of YSRC president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, Mr. Narayana said the latter had been levelling false allegations.

“People in few villages have reservations over the process. But, it does not mean that the government is resorting to land grabbing,” he said.

Communication Advisor Parakala Prabhakar urged Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy to refrain from making baseless statements with regard to 'Chandranna Kanuka' scheme.
