The body of a farmer, Venkatrayappa (72), was found in bushes in a flooding stream at Marudhanipalle village of Pattivandlapalle panchayat in Tamballapalle constituency in the district on Saturday. After a gap of three decades, all the mandals in Madanapalle revenue division received heavy rains this month.
According to police, the farmer had left his house on Friday evening but did not return by night.
His family members searched for him but found his body downstream in the morning. The body was sent to the area hospital for autopsy. He is survived by his wife, four sons and a daughter.
