Etela injured in road accident

Minister for Finance and Civil Supplies Etela Rajender and three others sustained injuries when the car in which they were travelling overturned at Edulaguttapalli of Manakondur mandal in Karimnagar district on Saturday evening.

Police said the Minister was on his way from Huzurabad to Karimnagar to take part in the Pentavalent vaccine drive when the mishap occurred. The car, while trying to overtake a lorry, overturned three times causing fracture injuries to the Minister. His PAs Mukunda Reddy and Chandramouli, driver Rafeeq and gunman Venkatesh sustained minor injuries. Mr. Rajender was shifted to Apollo Reach hospital in Karimnagar. Hospital superintendent Dr. A. Naresh said the Minister was safe and there were no fractures. Later, he was shifted to Yashoda Hospital, Secunderabad.
