If there is a new world to be achieved, how will one wish it to be? A golden world where there are no worries of rising pollution, no degradation of standards of air, water and soil and green cover which was not lost due to the greed of mankind. Director Shareeff Mohammed, who came out with a new serial ‘Kotha Bangaru Lokam’, has tried to combine a social message on environment with a family entertainer.

The new offering, coming from one who ranks among the first batch of television newsreaders in Telugu, is already on air on Doordarshan. Mr. Shareeff described the serial as one of the few such efforts that sought to be built upon the issue of environment.

“It is about a girl, Haritha, who fights the mightiest in her commitment for environment. The story begins in a campus where she is fighting against construction plans that are against the delicate balance of environment,” says the director, who won several Nandi awards.

‘Kotha Bangaru Lokam’ with script provided by Kaparty Veerendra has a cast including Durga Prasad, Padmini, Sri Raghava, Manish, Brunda, N.Sudhir Kumar, J.L. Srinivas, M. Bhaskar, C. Madhusudhan Reddy, Rajni Srikala and others. The serial is on Doordarshan Yadagiri from Monday to Friday at 3.30 p.m.
