Engg. student ends life over poor health

Lakshmi Bharathi, a second year engineering student at Visvodaya Institute of Technology and Science, Kavali, and native of Venkatareddypalli in Varikuntapadu mandal, committed suicide by consuming pesticide. She reportedly took the extreme step owing to her deteriorating health. She was shifted to a hospital in Nellore where she died. DSP D. Mohana Rao said Bharathi was suffering from brain tumour, and she had complained of stomach pain on Thursday.

Eluru Special Correspondent writes: A class-X girl student, Islavat Rukmibhai from Chintalapudi was found dead in her hostel room at the Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Residential School at Vatluru on Friday.

She took the extreme step following an altercation with her classmate.
