Elocution competition conducted for students

As part of Vigilance Awareness Week-2015, the ONGC’s Vigilance Department in collaboration with the Government College of Arts and Sciences, Rajahmundry, has organised an elocution competition for the college students. Students expressed their views on ‘Preventive Vigilance as Tool of Good Governance.’ The competition was conducted in Telugu, English and Hindi languages.

Speaking on the occasion, A.K. Lal, GM-Head Drilling Services, ONGC, said the significance of values one learned in formative years have historical roots in Vedas. D. Rakesh, DGM-Incharge, Vigilance, senistised the students on the basics of vigilance and the ways to curb corrupt practices through preventive tools by making power point presentation.

D. Mastanaiah, Principal, Arts College, exhorted students to participate in the governance and help government in rooting out the corruption through appropriate channels.

The winners of the elocution competition include, Ajay Karmakar, (first prize in Hindi and English), G. Laxman Kumar, (Second Prize in English), Harsha Priya (First Prize in Telugu) S. Suryanarayana, (Second Prize in Telugu), Padmavati and P. Purnima Udaysree (Third Prize each) and Dharma Tej (consolation Prize in Telugu) and Ruksana (second prize in Hindi).
