DYFI asks govt. to appoint teachers

October 06, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:48 am IST - ONGOLE:

Activists of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) staged a demonstration in-front of the Prakasam Bhavan here on Monday demanding that the government fill all vacancies in teachers’ posts in government schools.

Leading the protest, DYFI district secretary V. Balakotaiah said it was an agonising wait for those who had cleared the DSC exam and expecting jobs. DYFI district president K.F. Babu reminded Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of his poll promise to provide at least one job in every household in the State and unemployment dole to youth. Meanwhile, an aspirant for the Secondary Grade Teacher’s post, Ms. Sumalatha lamented that the government was delaying issuing orders to them on the pretext of the rationalisation exercise in government schools.

They threatened to lay siege to the Chief Minister’s camp office if the vacancies were not filled within a reasonable time.
