Digvijaya Singh lashes out at Modi, KCR

October 21, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 06:06 am IST - HYDERABAD:

All India Congress Committee general secretary Digvijaya Singh on Tuesday lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and likened him to Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for failing to keep the promises that they had made to people.

“Mr. Modi is diverting people’s attention from the harsh realities of failure to honour his promises and his government is suffering from a ‘policy paralysis’ by raising ‘irrelevant’ issues such as the controversy over consumption of beef and other such things.

On the other hand, Mr. Rao promised lakhs of government jobs, farm loan waiver, three acres of land to the weaker sections, 2 BHK flats and more -- all of which are showing no signs of becoming a reality soon,” the Rajya Sabha member regretted.

Skyrocketing prices

Speaking to presspersons at the Gandhi Bhavan here, he said the Centre is so ‘insensitive’ that it is doing virtually nothing when prices of essential commodities are skyrocketing.
