“YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has failed to voice the concerns of the people in the Assembly by staying away from it. And Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is more concerned about the future of his son Lokesh,” JSP president Pawan Kalyan said here on Thursday.

Addressing a roadshow here, Mr. Pawan Kalyan showered many sops on various sections of society.

Promising to take care of the future of youth, the JSP president said, “The ‘Cycle’ has become rusted and the old ‘Fan’ is not functional as it has no wires to power it.”

Handloom zones

Stating that he would encourage 10,000 youth to take to farming, he said, “Like special economic zones, I will acquire one lakh acres in the State and train these young farmers.”

‘Special opportunity zone’ would be created for industries with zero/minimum interest rate. Similarly, ‘handloom zones’ would be set up with 50% subsidy on raw material. Weavers in Dharmavaram would get help from designers in Paris, he added. Marketing and production facility would be provided at one place, he said.

Mr. Pawan Kalyan, on becoming CM, said he would give pension of ₹5,000 per month to all women above 60 years and for weavers above 59 years.

Instead of supplies through ration cards, the JSP, if voted to power, would given women ₹3,500 per family, Mr. Pawan Kalyan said. He also promised to supply 10 gas cylinders to each family, irrespective of their income, for free.

Rayalaseema should have two or three industrial corridors. The people’s representatives should not threaten industrialists. Instead, they should give them protection, Mr. Pawan said.
