Court summons Agrigold chief

October 02, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:50 am IST - HYDERABAD:

A Division Bench of the High Court at Hyderabad comprising Acting Chief Justice D.B. Bhosale and Justice S.V. Bhatt on Thursday asked the chairman of Agrigold company Venkat Rao to appear in court when the case filed against the company is heard.

It may be recalled that the Bench is hearing the case filed by depositors seeking a direction to refer the case to CBI. The allegation is that the company has not paid money to its depositors and police are not acting swiftly. The Bench wanted the company to furnish list of properties which can be sold and money paid to depositors.

On Thursday the case was again heard for further direction to the company which will be given the task of auctioning the property. The Bench wanted the chairman to be present in the court to facilitate early solution. The case will now be listed on Monday and the Bench will pass further order regarding the auctioning identified properties and identification of valuable properties without encumbrances.
