Guntur Urban Police swooped on the camp site where fasting cinema actor Sivaji has been fasting demanding `special status' for A.P. and forcefully shifted him to Government General Hospital on Wednesday afternoon.
Guntur Urban Superintendent of Police S.S Tripathi said that the decision to forcefully end the fast by Sivaji was taken after a report by the doctors said that his health condition had been deteriorating.
A large number of women constables were deployed in the operation which ended in just a few minutes. The actor offered stiff resistance, but the cops swiftly lifted him and put in an ambulance.
