The Congress activists set fire to the copies of the BJP manifesto here on Tuesday in protest against its failure to implement poll promises during its one-year rule.

The activists led by city Congress President Sripathy Prakasam came in a procession to the statue of Amarajeevi Potti Sriramulu and raised slogans against the Modi government for not providing the promised Special Category State status for 10 years. People were completely disillusioned with the performance of the NDA government, he said.
