Company gives cash award tochildren of contract workers

Aurobindo Pharma Private Limited Senior vice president U.N.B. Raju on Wednesday said that the company was giving top priority for the improvement of infrastructure in government schools under Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) activity to ensure quality education at par with corporate schools for the children from poor backgrounds.

The company distributed ₹4,000 cash awards each for 147 students who had proved their talent in tenth and intermediate examinations.

Speaking at the Vidya Puraskaralu programme held in Pydibhimavaram Zilla Parishad High School in the district, Mr. Raju said that the company had extended the financial assistance programme for the students of contract workers’ families to appreciate their role in the development of the company.

Aurobindo Pydibhimavaram Unit Senior vice president M.V. Ramakrishna said that the company had provided computers, tables and other furniture to Pydibhimavaram School.

Pydibhimavaram former Sarpanch Lankapalli Prasad and school Headmistress T.Padmavathi and others lauded the company’s initiative in improvement of educational standards in rural areas.
