Common test for social, tribal welfare institutes

The State government has decided to conduct a common entrance test for the social and tribal welfare educational institutions and the AP residential educational institutions, according to Social Welfare Minister Nakka Anand Babu.

Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat on Thursday, he said the test for the academic year 2018-19 would be conducted on April 8. Each district would be considered as one unit while filling up the seats in the educational institutes. The admissions would be made based on the marks secured in the test, which consists of multiple choice questions from subjects including English, Telugu, Math, Science and Social Studies, he said.

Releasing the notification, Mr. Anand Babu said the students in the age group of 10 to 13 as on September 1 were eligible to appear for the admission. The test would be conducted in English, Telugu and Urdu. The last date for submitting applications was March 23, he said.
