VIJAYAWADA: After completing his whirlwind tour of West and East Godavari districts, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu arrived in the city on Thursday evening at around 7 p.m. and headed to the Camp Office. Though the Chief Minister inaugurated the swanky Camp Office on June 8, he stayed overnight in the bus on the camp office premises.

Food and other necessary arrangements were provided in the bus. However, Mr. Naidu’s decision to stay in the bus left many perplexed as he usually prefers to stay in Hotel D.V.Manor during his visit to the city.

Though the works pertaining to the Chief Minister’s room were complete in the camp office, revenue officials said the Chief Minister preferred to stay in the bus as few other works were still under progress in the office.

Officials informed that no meetings were slated in the night and Mr. Naidu would conduct a couple of meetings on Friday morning before leaving to Renigunta in a special helicopter at around 9.15 a.m. from Gannavaram airport.

Meanwhile, Krishna Collector Babu A confirmed that Chief Minister would participate in the Yoga Day celebrations scheduled on Sunday at A1 Convention Centre near Hotel D.V. Manor. Officials had earlier planned to organise the celebrations at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium.
