CM loses cool at media meet

June 11, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:50 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was livid when asked for his response to YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy’s demand that he be made first accused in the cash-for-vote case .

At a media conference after meeting President Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi , Mr. Naidu dismissed the query stating that the journalist should be first ashamed even to raise that question. “He is a legislator facing corruption charges and he has the audacity to level charges against me,” he said, referring to Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy. “You expect me to respond to such baseless charges?” In what appeared to be uncharacteristic of Mr. Naidu, he was irate at some of the questions thrown at him relating to YSR Congress and TRS and asserted that in spite of conspiratorial politics, TDP would emerge stronger, “as always”.
