CM inspects Sangam, Nellore barrage works

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited the ongoing works at the Nellore barrage and Sangam barrage works here during his current visit in Nellore district on Friday.

Accompanied by Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and district officials, the Chief Minister enquired about the status of the ongoing works and asked the officials concerned to speed up the works as the government would be providing all the necessary funds without any delay.

Mr. Naidu said the government would take all the necessary steps for completing the works to make irrigation water available to the farmers from next year itself.

The Chief Minister held review meetings with the Irrigation Department officials where he passed instructions to them with regard to both the barrages on the Penna river. .
