CEO orders probe into distribution of ballot papers

Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Andhra Pradesh has ordered an inquiry into the distribution of postal ballot papers to service voters in the Madakasira Assembly constituency in the district.

District Election Officer G. Veerapandian said based on a complaint by YSR Congress Party candidate for the constituency Tippeswamy with the CEO that 108 persons were given papers twice, the matter was being probed and a report would be sent to the Election Commission. Meanwhile, an inquiry initiated on a complaint by two independent candidates from the Anantapur Parliamentary constituency was completed.
