Cash bag with Rs.10 lakh creates flutter at A.P. Minister’s house

A few women came to the Minister’s house at Veeravasaram and left the bags on the premises on Tuesday evening. House keeper, Subba Rao, who noticed the abandoned bags, informed the police.

Two bags abandoned at Women Empowerment, Child and Disabled Welfare Minister Peetala Sujatha’s house created a flutter in West Godavari District on Tuesday. The bags contained Rs.10 lakh, a District Selection Committee (DSC) hall ticket and academic certificates of a woman Sri Lakshmi of West Godavari District.

According to sources, a few women came to the Minister’s house at Veeravasaram and left the bags on the premises on Tuesday evening. House keeper, Subba Rao, who noticed the abandoned bags, informed the police.

West Godavari Superintendent of Police Bhaskar Bhushan said that a case had been registered under Section 102 of IPC. Police launched a hunt to trace Sri Lakshmi.

“The Minister spoke to me and informed me about the cash bags over phone. The Veeravasaram police began investigation in to the case,” Mr. Bhaskar told The Hindu.
