Canadian firm keen on investing in A.P.

Canadian businessman and Fairfax Holdings Ltd Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Prem Watsa has informed Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu that he is keen to invest in hardware, tourism, hospitality and power sectors in the State.

Mr. Watsa, along with head of Fairfax Singapore, Thomas Cook India managing director Madhavan Menon and MD of Lea Associates, met Mr. Naidu at the Secretariat here on Tuesday.

The Chief Minister briefed Mr. Watsa on his plans to achieve the “Digital Andhra Pradesh”, Capital City and the State’s potential to become a logistics hub of South East Asia. He also asked Mr. Watsa to help the State to attract pension funds from Canada.

Mr. Watsa invited the Chief Minister to visit Canada. The Hyderabad-born investor said that he would host an investors’ summit in Canada and help Andhra Pradesh attract investments.
