Cable network to be set up in A.P. at Rs. 200 cr. : Naidu

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has said that the government is planning set up a cable network across the State soon through which various services will be offered to people.

Speaking at the ‘Janmabhoomi – Maa Vooru’ programme in Khajipet mandal of Kadapa district on Sunday, he said there was a plan to lay underground cable at a cost of Rs. 200 crore to provide connectivity across the State in the next six months. The cable would facilitate a user to make telephone calls, browse internet and also watch television channels of his choice. “Farmers can get online tips from websites, while the women can learn prepaarion of various delicacies from culinary portals,” he said.

He promised to complete Gandikota and Galeru Nagari projects soon. The Chief Minister also unveiled plaques for various development works worth Rs. 45 crore in the district.
